Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Vocaris collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be clear about what happens to it.

01 · Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

  • ·Account data: your email address and a securely hashed password.
  • ·Profile and resume content: the candidate profile, skills, and resume text you provide or upload.
  • ·Job preferences: target titles, locations, and related search settings.
  • ·Usage data: feature usage and counts used to enforce plan limits and improve the product.
  • ·Billing data: handled by Stripe; we store only a customer/subscription reference, never your card number.

02 · How we use your information

We use your information to provide and operate Vocaris: to discover and score jobs against your profile, to generate tailored application materials at your request, to manage your account and subscription, and to communicate service-related messages.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

03 · AI processing

When you ask Vocaris to score a job or generate materials, the relevant text (your resume, profile, and the job description) is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce the result. We instruct the model to use only information you provided and never to fabricate experience, credentials, or answers to legal, sponsorship, salary, or demographic questions.

Generated materials are drafts for your review. You remain responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of anything you submit.

04 · Third-party services

We rely on a small set of providers to deliver the service:

  • ·Anthropic — AI scoring and generation.
  • ·Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
  • ·Neon / PostgreSQL — encrypted database hosting.
  • ·Public job boards (Greenhouse, Ashby) and SerpApi — to discover job postings.

05 · Data retention and deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your content or your entire account at any time; deleting your account removes your personal data from our systems, subject to limited records we must keep for legal or accounting purposes.

06 · Security

Connections are encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored as salted hashes, never in plaintext. Access to your data is scoped to your account, and administrative access is limited and audited.

07 · Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing (for example under GDPR or CCPA). You can exercise most of these rights directly in Settings, or by contacting us.

08 · Cookies

We use a single essential, HTTP-only cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

09 · Children

Vocaris is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

10 · Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the product evolves; material changes will be reflected in the date above. Questions about privacy can be sent to privacy@vocaris.app.
